Dontnod Entertainment has steadily been pushing the genre in new and interesting directions throughout this time, with Life is Strange seen by many as one of the best in the genre.
Episodic adventure games have seen a sort of renaissance in the last decade, though they’re in somewhat shaky groud at this particular moment.
